We service all brands and types of residential and light commercial heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment in the metro Atlanta area including: boilers, furnaces, heat pumps, radiant floor heating systems, floor warming systems, Rinnai instant water heaters, zoning, ultra violet air treatment systems, central dehumidifiers for summer time, central humidifiers for winter time, air cleaning equipment and duct cleaning.

Performance testing per "National Comfort Institute" standards is an assortment of services:

  • CoolMaxx and HeatMaxx are simple tests and reports to verify the actual installed effeciency of your heating and cooling equipment. Most companies stop short of actually testing and calculating your airflow and that can make all the diferrance.
  • Airflow Analysis is a process where we detail the area of each room in your home or office and then calculate the airflow required for proper comfort. We then test the actual airflow through the whole system and at each individual duct. We can then create a system for you that will provide maximum efficiency and even temperatures in each room. When you want a system that is the very best it can be this is how it's done.
  • ComfortMaxx Certification is a new Nationl Program process where certified contractors like Empire can validify a system that has met the highest standard of "Airflow Analysis" and certify the system via a national database and issue a serialized label of performance.

Empire recovers all fluorocarbons and recycles old equipment to help preserve our environment per EPA standards.

Maintenance Programs

A well-maintained machine performs at higher efficiency, providing more dependable service and lasting longer than a machine that has been neglected.

We offer substantial discounts to our customers who make a commitment to maintain their equipment. Labor savings of up to 50% — even on emergency service — as well as 20% discounts on repairs and 10% on new equipment are just part of our standard maintenance agreement. You will be surprised how inexpensive a maintenance agreement is for your equipment.

Equipment Replacement

Empire provides free estimates for replacement equipment as well as operating cost comparisons and heating/cooling load calculations to help you choose the correct equipment for your needs. If you’ve been told that your equipment needs to be replaced, give us a call and we will send a technician to reinspect the unit and give you a free written second opinion.

Custom Installations

Empire recommends American Standard™ heating and cooling products for most residential and light commercial replacements. We also offer most major brands of equipment — 19 in all! Whether you are adding a room, remodeling a mansion, upgrading the system in your home, office or manufacturing facility, EMPIRE can design and install any type system you need as well as offer ideas on unique ways to satisfy your indoor comfort needs.

Empire provides quality craftsmanship at a fair price. We install top-of-the-line registers and grilles, well-sealed fabricated duct systems, leak-free refrigerant piping, dampers in each branch duct, using experienced, well-trained installation mechanics.

Zoning Systems

Zoning provides a more comfortable and efficient way to heat or cool your home or office. Hot in one room and cold in another? Heating or cooling spaces you don’t use often? EMPIRE has a wide variety of zone dampering systems and products for the comfort you need where and when you need it.

Ventilation Systems

An "Energy Recovery Ventilator" (ERV) exhausts stale air and replaces it with fresh outside air. Its 80% efficiency and the increased ventilation requirements for public spaces make this system cost effective. EMPIRE also services and installs all types of commercial ventilation systems.

One of our most popular ventilation request is in restrooms that have noisy exaust fans that are agravating. There are now some exhaust fans that are so quiet you can barely tell they are on. Programmable Thermostats

New Thermostats can save up to 18% of cooling cost and up to 29% on heating. We offer several types and brands based on your application.

Humidification

Empire offers Power Humidifiers and Dehumidifiers for home and light commercial applications. Additional humidification in the heating season can improve health, lower heating costs, and reduce static electricity.

Air Duct Sealing and Repairs

All our new Ducting Systems are sealed above and beyond the energy code requirements. Duct renovations to the "National Comfort Institute" standards are avaliable with certified test and balance reproting.

Air Duct Cleaning

Empire cleans ductwork! Our duct cleaning is a through job and we include cleaning the blower, evaporator coil and air side of the heat exchanger using "Abatement Technologies" state of the art source removal equipment. We do require a technician to visit with your ductwork before duct cleaning can be scheduled. We want to make sure that all componets of your system are accessable for complete cleaning as well as check for problems with the ductwork that could be contributing to poor performance and increased dust.

We have a huge selection of IAQ Products and equipment. It's typicall best to test your existing air first to determine what is best for you home but if you know what you want give us a call and we'll price it up for you.

Air Quality Testing

If you have allergys, astma or other resperatory issues you need to test the air in your home to see exactly where the problems are and be advised it may need to be done a few times in different seasons to get the full story. We have testing equipment for CO, CO2, particulate, VOC's, temperature and humidity. Most testing can be done in two hours. We can then make recommendations for the products that will solve your problem and to be sure we got it right we can retest when we are done to verify the problem is solved.

Boilers

Empire services both Hydronic and Steam Boiler Systems as well as installing new Hydronic and Radiant Floor Heating Systems. Most companies in Atlanta just aren't interested in boilers because they are a good bit different that the typical heater and ther aren't many in town. I learned boilers as a teenager and just really enjoy working on them. Over the years we have hired several technicians that also enjoy them as well as training several youngsters as well.
