WSB Predicts Colder than Normal Winter
Frigid temps are forecast, so be prepared!
On the drive in to Empire HQ in Decatur yesterday I heard the long range winter forecast from WSB predicting colder than normal weather for us here in the Atlanta area with a good chance for an ice storm or two. This prediction concurs with the Farmers Almanac so we’d best get ready. Make sure you have a safe and reliable source of heating in case the power goes out, and stock up on batteries, canned goods and candles. Make sure your portable radio is working and that your smoke and CO detectors will work without electricity. Being prepared makes a weather event more like an adventure than a burden.
If you have a critical need for power consider a backup generator. They are available in different sizes so you can have a small unit with just enough power for the furnace and freezer (and TV), or a larger one — with power for everything in the house — that comes on automatically when the power goes out. Give us a call at 404-294-0900 or schedule for Chris Adolph to come out and tell you all about it. As always, equipment estimates are free.
